Acting for Screen Classes

Course Overview:

Acting for Screen with Ruth Pieloor will take your theatre and acting skills to a new level, with a deeper awareness of your craft and how it translates to being received on screen.

Participants will learn screen acting techniques, working on their own and in pairs on various scripts. Everyone will have onset experience in front of a camera, and view and share their work with their peers. They will be directed, having the opportunity to receive specific, constructive, and practical feedback in a supportive environment.

This course is ideal for those who want to nail Self Tapes, hone Casting skills, prepare themselves for a Showreel, or just build confidence to be in short films. The term will end with an informal showcase for actors to show ‘live’ their best work on the big screen.

Limited to 12 students maximum.

• Tuesdays- 6.30pm-9.30pm (Term 2 commences 29 April, 2025 – 10 x 3 hour classes)
