Are your children interested in or have a passion for acting?

Award-winning and renown Mockingbird Theatre Company and Acting Studio presents a vibrant, fun and unique holiday program designed for young actors of all levels.

Over the course of a week, in this innovative and inspiring program students are taught a variety of acting fundamentals as well as the skills necessary for creating their own devised works. These skills are taught in a highly professional setting with some of the best drama tutors for children in Canberra, as students are facilitated in developing, producing and staging their own show which will be performed at the conclusion of the program.

Key focuses of the program include:

  • –  character work

  • –  scene analysis

  • –  monologues

  • –  improvisation skills

  • –  movement/physically

  • –  vocal technique

  • –  script writing

  • –  show design

  • –  working and collaborating with others

  • –  creating and putting on a show

The program is split into two age brackets (8-10 years old/11-14 years old), allowing for these acting techniques to be taught in an age-relevant way. The hands-on nature of the program means that students will receive personalised learning and can retake the program multiple times to gain new insight and hone their skills. In both age brackets, tutors are focused on ensuring the prioritisation of enjoyment, creativity and skill building.
