Nestled by the lake in the heart of Belconnen, the theatre space is perfect for classes, workshops, meetings, studio filming and photography, small seminars and training courses, rehearsals, auditions, small theatre performances, cabaret, stand-up etc. One-off or regular events welcome. Speak to us about your requirements. Available from January 1, 2025.

Room size is approximately 10m x 12m with a wall of mirrors and a corner window. There is no raised stage or permanent seating. There is a drape on a track that creates a curtained off area within the room of approx. 9.5m x 9.5m. The floor is a Maxwood Flexi Pro 21mm sprung floor with a 9.5mm Weathertex top layer painted black. Seating for a maximum of 55. Please email chris@mockingbirdtheatre.com for theatre specs.

Lovingly dubbed “The Nest” due to its welcoming and comfortable vibe, this space consists of a small green room, a dressing room with mirrors, storage and clothes racks and a small meeting area. A kitchenette is also adjacent and available with tea and coffee making facilities, a fridge and a microwave. There is direct access to the street and carpark next to the Arts Centre. There is also a sound relay system between the theatre and The Nest. Housing Mockingbird’s vast play library, there are also board games to play during down times – everything to help make the creative at home and relaxed.

Please note that this space is NOT hired separately but is an additional hire to the theatre space.
